Since I'm a little weak on web technology, would someone please tell me the difference between DNS and Static IP?
Thanks much!

Hi Dave,
At the risk of oversimplifying:
DNS: A server that is used to "convert" plain names to the real IP number. For example, when you type
"www.cnn.com", the DNS server knows that is "157.166.255.19" and sends you to the correct server.
Static IP: An IP address that is set by the admin, rather than by the router. The router uses its "DHCP" server
to provide IP addresses for network devices, which makes things (usually) easier for users.
If you are having trouble setting-up your RRC's, just send me a short mail at dj0qn (at) darc.de and I will
send you a short checklist to walk you through the process.
