Hello All:

I know it's me, but I just got the RRC and a new TS-480SAT. I have NOT used the RRC's yet, but I am trying to get my PC to talk to HRD. The configuration is a normal install..

Question?? does HRD allow the audio to be heard in the PC speakers directly from the HRD program? Or do I need to hookup a speaker to the TS480SAT?

I am NOT currently using the RRC interface.

Hi Tim,
HRD only connects the radio via RS232 or via REMOTE virtial serial port. Audio is to support on an extra
way. Therfore you need the RRC components. I use this configuration with my remote K3.
You will see the configuration an the left menue under ELECRAFT.

Yes

You need speakers and mic direkt to the radio. There is no audio via HRD.
