Hello again.

I found the problem.

I needed to disassemble my first remoterig and bring to my home the 2 RRCīs of my first installation.(THis one using a IC-7100)

When I installed IC-7100 , I had the same problem , the panel control of the 7100 do not switch ON, only i can hear a relay sound inside the radio alwais doing ON -OFF, the 2 RRCīs are OK, there were Connected/transfering, but no power on the control pannel.

I switch my old Radio RRC with the new control panel RRC and all working OK.

I have a problem in my new RRC Radio side unit.

Hi Mike,

Yes , I was reading old post and I did al the installation correct to avoid the short circuit.

I got today a Kenwood TS-2000 with D700 front end and I installed all this evening with the new configuration for remoterig .
The system can not power up the control panel also.
The fault is similar to the 857 configuration.
When I try to power on, the kenwood TS-2000, switch ON and OFF continuosly and the control panel is OFF all time.

I am starting to think that there is sometinhg wrong in the RRCīs.

Hi Mitch, thanks for the fast answer,

I am using now 14000, 14001, 14002.
And tested with 13000, 13001, 13002. I switched off my other remoterig station and did the configuration in the RRCīs with these ones.

When I switch ON i can hear the relays noise inside the radio, but in the next switch OFF and ON, do not hear nothing.
To hear again this relay noise need to do power OFF - ON the power supply.

All these time the system is Connected/transfering with no error msg.

Hello,

I have an IC-7100 with my first remoterig system working but....

I have my second remoterig since 5 days ago and I spent 2 days tryng to install remoterig with Yaesu 857.

RRCīs are new, V8.

I have these points checked:

- Programming is done with the manual. Jmpīs, strapping, etc
- I can see in the status of both RRC that i have connection, all is ok.
- Yellow led in both RRC are ok.
- Cables are checked several times.

When I switch on the radio, the connection is stablished, but the control do not power up. I have no power in the control head.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

« on: 2013-08-20, 19:40:22 »
Hello again,

Is not a problem of the IC-7100, the CI-V is working well with the direct connection to PC, out of the remote instalation.

The TTL converter is from Icom, is not a cheaper one.

I find that is a problem when I connect the RRCīs and the data throught the COM2.

Hello Guy, the IC-7100 has in the CI-V options:

CI-V transceive: ON
CI-V Address: 88h
CI-V Baud Rate: I tested all the options from 300 to 19200 and AUTO

Hello,

I have a problem also with the CI-V and IC-7100.

I have selected Mode 2 in both RRCīs in COM2.
I use a straight RS232 cable from Control to RRC and a TTL converter from the rear part or the radio (remote) to RRC.

The cable is working OK, tested without the remote system.

I tried all the baudrate speeds and configurations in the mode 2 of COM2.

I donīt know where is the problem. ŋ Any ideas to test?

Thanks in advance.

« on: 2013-04-10, 01:05:11 »
Hello Again,

I will explain what I did with this problem until now.

- Just I tested a new router (TP-link) and has the same problem.
- I tested press PTT, one time, to test same procedure of OH2FT and the system (TS-480) comes from fezzing, and works perfect.
- In the Expert, if I press ON, in the software, the expert data screen comes instantly. Different when you switch ON the amplifier that it takes time to start.
-This problem exists when you are using 3G connection in one side of the system. Is not a problem of 3G signal, I have full signal.
- This problem is more significant when I use USB - RS232 converters, that when I use RS232 direct ports.
- Ratio is 10-15 minutes, but sometimes takes more time ( I measured 30 and 45 minutes in 2 cases)

Hello Mike,

I got this:

Control panel   ON
Radio   ON
Connection status   Faulty(See below)
SIP status   Connected/transfering
Last SIP error   None
RTP status   Excellent(60)
UDP cmd status   Error(0)
.......
.......

The UDP cmd status has an error.

I will try to see whatīs happen in the router.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / System frezzing with TS-480
« on: 2013-03-19, 20:44:10 »
Hello to all,

I am using, Kenwood TS-480 with COM1 configure for Expert 1K-FA and COM2 for ERC rotator.

I am suffering in receiving mode after some minutes without activity in the system, normally more than 10 minutes, the system is freezing.

I can hear and receive the sound, but the buttons and dials in TS480 do not respond, the Expert also switch off the connection, (I can see in the Expert windows software).

The only solution is switch off and on again.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
