General discussion forum / Problem after a firmware update
« on: 2017-10-05, 18:48:39 »
I updated the Radio side 1258 with no issues, but when I updated the control side via the microbit setup manager I ran into an issue.  The file uploaded to the unit but after a few seconds there was an error and the red and amber lights on the aux/mic plug are lit up.  I tried doing a reset on the unit but nothing happens.  Anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

Thanks

Thank you Mike, I sent it off today.

I'm not sure exactly where I need to send it.  The unit will not power up with a power supply or USB.  I need to get it back in service as soon as possible. Can someone help me with this? Thank you.

I believe I'll also have to send my controller side RRC because it just stopped tuning on.  This unit is always on and the other day I noticed it was not on.  I tried a different power supplies and also tried powering it up through the USB but nothing works.  Is there anything more I can try?

This has happened to me too albeit at random.  The remote rig on mine is tied to a 10amp power strip so I don't think it's a low power supply issue.  Let us know what you find. Good luck!

excellent! I'll try this! Thank you.

Thanks for the response! However, with the ICOM 880H  there are no straps used.  It uses an optional IC to allow the microphone to fully function.   :o

Hello, I just finished installing the WiFi module on the RCC and no problems locking in to the WiFi router.  However, now the microphone doesn't appear to be working.  The radio is an ICOM ID-880H with the microphone module.  I've rebooted the radio and the microphone buttons light up as before but there appears to be no transmit audio when I PTT.    :o  Hope someone can point me in the right directon.  Thanks!

All Done! Everything's working great from the remote location...Thanks!

I finally got it all working.  The two units communicate with each other directly and via the DDNS.  The true test will come next week when I install the radio at its location.  Thanks again!

Thank you for looking into my issue further.  I confirm that I can establish a connection with the radio via LAN by installing the red jumper on the power on pin.  I can turn the radio on and turn it off.  Excellent!   I will perform the PCB modifications in a couple of days and let you know how it works.  At this point, once I get everything working on the LAN I'll move over to the WAN side and see if someone can connect to my radio.  Thank you so much for your help in this matter and I will keep you updated.

Do you think it's possible to wire the RRC's without the need for the HM-133 pcbs? At this point If I can get communication established (even if the microphone buttons don't work) I'll feel like there's some progress.  Thanks for the patience..

 :)

Do these boards look correct? :o

sent a wrong pic. It was too far away.

Awesome! Thanks you! Here are the photos of the PCBS .  If everything looks good I'd like to see if you can reach the radio controller from your location.
