Hi Mike,  Could I place an early order for the pcb 1258M?  So it could be shipped as soon as available.   73, Ray

Configuration, RRC 1258 / JMP2 in control box for IC-7100
« on: 2014-09-03, 23:16:42 »
Page 23 of the manual says that JMP2 should be in place to provide 8 volts to the display for all Icom radios.  The schematic for the 7100 indicates 8 volts are being used.  But page 101 says JMP2 should be removed.  Any comments or recommendations?  73, Ray

Hi Mike, I don't really care about the warranty but would like to know why Icom made the change.  So I would hesitate to remove the resister if that action would reduce the longevity of the radio.  Will wait for the PCB board and I thank you for doing that for us.  73, Ray

Purchased new 1c-7100 and RRC-1258MKII two weeks ago.  Am having same problem while using local network.  Control panel turns on but no audio or transmit or freq change control.  Also panel turns itself off after about a minute.  Have double checked jumper wires and settings.  Don't know how to check the voltage levels from pins 4 and 8 to ground.  Has any progress been made by anyone?  Also don't know if this is related but should JMP2 be in or out inside the control box.  Page 23 of the manual says it should be in.  Page 101 says it should be out.
