Hi
I have several rrc-system, and for one rrc controlpart, running TS-480, I notice noise on transmission when I push ptt. Not strong noise, and no problem in qso. I have checked rrc, power and mic, and the noise dissapear if I use batteri-power or a better power supply than the one delivered from Remoterig. I have several 12 V power delivered from Remoterig, but noise from all on this rrc. I suppose the fault must be in the rrc box, because my other rrc control, using power supply delivered from Remoterig, is running without noise. This is not a problem for me, just information.

I have been using RRC for four years now. The problems I have noticed are always related to the router or 4G connection to my remote site. The access to my remote station is difficult in the winter time, but using a Raspberry Pi (very cheap minicomputer) at remote side make troubleshooting easy. The Rpi is working headless ( no display, no keyboard, no mouse) and using Teamviewer host for communication. Now I can check and update my 4G router remote and do speedtest.

Har ikke funnet ferdige kabler, men har laget denne spesielle kabelen og kan evt. lage en til deg også. Men jeg bruker et «Easy digi» interface mellom rrc og pc. Det er sikkert ikke nødvendig, men har da  en trafo mellom både inn og ut. For nøkling bruker jeg optokopleren  for å slippe å sette RTP tx-mode on (redusere databruken). To ekstra tråder for ptt må da termineres i rj45 pluggen. Dersom ptt/ cat /vox brukes må RTP tx- mode settes til on. Fungerer greit med Ts-480, men det jeg bruker mest er Rrc Micro. Da slipper jeg fysisk grensesnitt og bruker VAC mellom Wsjt-x og Rrc-micro sw. Ptt ordnes også her med en optokopler og et usb til rs232 interface. About the wifi module. I have been using rrc control module with wifi for four years now. I have three units, for three different rigs, and they newer fail. Good sensitivity and no trouble with interference.

If ptt goes via cat you have to put RTP
Tx mode to continuous (advanced setting control side).

I am using wsjt-x and it is working fine via remoterig and ts-480. I am using two trafos for audio between rrc and pc (rpi), and using a optocoupler for ptt (with usb-rs232 adaptor and DTR).
My connections:
Mic-3
Mic gnd-4
Ptt-5
Ptt gnd- 6
Audio from rrc via sp.

Hello Paul

I am using a trafo between aux/mic (3,4) and the sound card. If your cat control is working ok, you have to switch on RTp Tx mode in Control unit. Because I want to reduce data on my 4G connection I do not switch RTp Tx mode on. From my computer I use DTR/rs232 and a  relay for PTT (5,6 in aux/mic). It is working very  nice both on my Win computer and on my Raspberry Pi.

Hi Gary,
I just wanted to mention a problem I had when I started up with rrc for more than two years ago. I was using a long eth-cable from the  rrc to the router, and the long cable caused a lot of trouble with rfi. Since then, after replacing the long cable, I have had no trouble with the Remoterig equipment, running Kw Ts-480sat and Icom ic-706.

Problem to update ddns again. Connection to radio-rrc is ok, rrc has been restarted, ddns status ok, but ddns.remoterig is not updated.

Thank you very much for quick response and answere to my problem. I have two stations at my remote qth, one of the station qrv every day, and  after 1,5 year this is the first problem we have had , exept for some minor 4G problem. The Rrc and websw are exellent product!
