Yes Mitch, I have used your checklists for setting up the remotes and it was a great help  in the process :)

I have CAT controll OK via COM1, but I am not able to use the winkeyer function with writelog

I have searched the forum for different solutions on how to add PC-keying, but I am still looking for the answer

Could it be possible to use the KEY input on the K3/0 for PC-keying?
I believe this is for connecting a straight key?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone has succeeded to have both CAT control and CW-keying working at the same time with the K3 twin setup

I am using Writelog and have not been able to to sort this out

My PC is connected to the USB Com port on the Control RRC for CAT control
I have tried to use COM3(Extra)  mode for Winkeyer, but Writelog immediately keys PTT when it starts.

This has been described before here
http://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=1805.0

Is there any other way to get CAT and CW keying going at the same time and does the Winkeyer work with any other software?

I am using writelog to control my K3 and I have exactly the same problem with CAT controll on  COM1
Control RRC is connected to PC via the USB port

I can not use COM2 because  it`s occupied with the K3 twin setup

I am also able to type in frequencies , mode and change bands etc,  but i can not read anything from the radio

I have tried to change baud rates on COM1 and other things but nothing helps
The CAT data is only coming throuh one way

COM0 baudrate   38400
COM0 data bits   8
COM0 stop bits   1
COM0 parity   0
COM0 Program mode 3 char timeout   2
Use USB Com Port as COM0   0

COM1 mode   7
COM1 baudrate   4800
COM1 data bits   8
COM1 stop bits   1
COM1 parity   0
COM1 rts/cts   0
COM1 terminator (hex)   00
Use USB Com Port as COM1   1

COM2 mode   9
COM2 baudrate   38400
COM2 data bits   8
COM2 stop bits   1
COM2 parity   0
COM2 terminator (hex)   00
Use USB Com Port as COM2   0

COM3(Extra) mode (USB-COMFSK)   0

Any ideas Jan or others?

I did a factory reset on the control RRC and the PWR LED now has a steady light and the RRC still shows up as the control version
The DNS status field shows:  OK, remoterig.com = 213.180.92.20

Maybe things are looking more promising..
I will continue tomorrow

Hi Mike and Mitch,

I will try to clarify

I configured both units and everything was working perfect inside the network at the remote QTH with some help from Mitch :-)
The radio RRC has been offline since i left the remote last Thursday

I went home happy with the control unit and connected it to my home network with LAN cable and USB cable to my home PC
When i opened setup manager it showed up as radio version in  "Netinfo/find - find devices" in Microbit set up manager"

When I clicked on "browse device" the URL showed  http://10.0.0.83 with the radio version page

I then changed my control RRC back to "control version" using the recipe "RecoverControl/Radio unit" on this page  http://www.remoterig.com/wp/?page_id=1695

After doing this my control RRC now shows up correct as the "control version" , but all the settings have disappeared..

Not sure if this is related, but another strange thing after this issue is that the PWR led is blinking on the control RRC and the browser DNS status field states:
"No DNS server configured" or  "OK, remoterig.com = 213.180.92.20"

I am using  DHCP in my setup
The "Net info/find tab" looks like this:

MAC       : 00:1e:fd:01:9f:95
IP address: 10.0.0.83
Netmask   : 255.255.255.0
Gateway   : 10.0.0.138
DNS       : 193.213.112.4

I would like to get things sorted out at the control site before I try to connect to the remote

Thank you Mitch

I changed to "type=control" in the web address and now it is showing control version again in setup manager

However, all my settings done at the remote site on the control unit is gone...

Maybe I should change to the latest firmware
I received them with version 2.88

Hi,

I am trying to set up my remote with the K3/0 for the first time.

After having everything working at the remote location I am now home with the RRC Control unit (The one with the CW knob)
When attaching  the RRC control unit to my home network it shows up in setup manager as the Radio version?

When I browse the device I get the radio version settings page and I am stuck...

Can someone clarify what is going on here?
