ICOM C-IV Combiner
« on: 2012-11-09, 17:43:00 »
Is there a combiner for ICOM C-IV ports? I need to connect a SCS Pactor controoler and the RCC to an ICOM radio.

There is a device (CAT-MATE) for Yaesu radios, but I have not found anything for ICOM units.

The ICOM CI-V bus is very different from all other CAT systems. You do not need anything like that CAT Mate. You can connect several equipment together without any box or other things, it's a TTL 1-wire bus where everyone sends and listen on the same wire. All equipment also have it's own address to avoid conflicts.

Thanks Mike,

The radio only has one input port for CAT, the modem needs to connect and the rcc needs to connect. Can i use a simple Y-cable?
