New RRC1258MkII with firmware updated to v2.21

New RRC-Micro PC-Client v1.0.10 32 bit

Rig is a Yaesu FT-897

CAT cable is a Yaesu CT-62 connected to COM2 of the RRC1258MkII.

The 3.5mm stereo cable from the radio to the SP jack on the RemoteRig has been tested and the radio receive volume is at the 11 o'clock position.

The headphone hooked to the PC-client USB dongle/sound card has been tested.

The PC-client will start a SIP connection. The yellow led on the mic/aux connector is lit. The green activity led on the ethernet jack is showing activity. The PTT button on the PC-client keys the radio. Microphone audio on the PC-client modulates the transmitter.

The receive audio slider on the PC-client application is mid-range. The PC-client has the microbit 1254 chosen as the receive audio device. There is absolutely no receive audio. No noise or anything in the headphones.

I have tried changing the receive audio device to the laptop sound card, but no receive audio will come from the laptop speakers either.

This is being tested on a local LAN using the default ports. No router or internet connection is used at this point.

Any ideas for more things to check and test would be appreciated.

This is a beta version and may have problems on different system.
Although this is tested on XP 32bit, problems may occur on different systems.

In this version there has been problems with the audio if the audio-card
has been removed and the plugged back since the RRC PC settings first was saved.
You can test if this is the case by in settings reselect the speaker so you get the red save button
and the save. After that you can try again. This problems has been solved in 1.0.11 which
will be out sometime next week.

You can also help with our debugging by doing following.

1. Stop the RRC PC program
2. In the program menu, start RRC Logger. A 'white' windows will show up in upper left corner
3. Start the RRC PC Client.
4. Connect
5. Disconnect
6. Stop the RRC Logger by clicking on the Red Cross. Notepad will show up.
7. Copy the text in Notepad to mail and send to info@remoterig.com
8. Close Notepad.

Thanks for you assistance.

Hi Roland,

Changing the speaker back to the internal sound card of the laptop did not produce any sound.

The RRC logging program was run, as you requested, and emailed.

Thank you for you help.  I look forward to the new release next week.

Problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!

The audio settings were on quality 2 Linear 16 kHz.

Changing to quality 0 A law 8 kHz made the receive audio work properly. Transmit audio and PTT still working.

It was in the PC Client configuration on the website but I overlooked it.

The only problem left is getting HRD to connect to the radio which is in another thread.
