TS-480 Serial port settings

   I have the remote rig setup and It is simply amazing I bought a second unit for another remote location. The question I have is I am trying to program the radio with KRS-480 from the control side I have read other threads about problems with HRD and the Kenwood software  but this is just programing the radio can this be done with the serial ports settings port 1 on the radio side is hooked up to the radio DB-9 ? Thanks again

I have not tried that excat combination ... but

I have hook up the serial port of the main unit to the radio RRC (DB9) via RRC Com2 mode 4 9600,8,1,N (same setting on com2 control site)

At control site im using a microHam (USB->Serial interface) to map to a serial port at my computer.

I can then start any program to communicate with the radio at the control site vis the cat interface.
