CAT lost
« on: 2020-02-09, 17:56:09 »
About once a day, often at startup, I have no CAT: I can hear signals but frequency does not follow VFO.  This is cured by removing power (power connector and USB cable) from the Control RRC and re-powering.  The Radio side has no problems.  Any ideas for a cure??

Thanks, Chuck, N8CL

Hi Chuck,

Your USB is going into power saving mode. Go to the following presentation at:
https://www.kkn.net/~n6tv/N6TV_Dayton_2019_Everything_USB.pdf
and follow the instructions starting on page 26.

And here I thought I had checked the power settings many times--but I swapped out computers recently, and the new laptop had power save turned on.  Thanks for your help, Mitch.
