IC 7100 up and working great
« on: 2021-02-09, 07:07:18 »
Thanks Mitch for your check list.
My IC 7100 is working great on SSB, AM, CW. I have been using it for over a month now.
The separate IC 7100 head and control RCC is at my QTH in an apartment building. The radio and radio RCC is at a remote location 30 klms  away in my Motor Home with solar and battery power. For internet service I am using a Telus Mobile Hub 4G at the Motor Home. Of course to overcome the Double Nat it is a business Hub with Static and Public or Fixed IP address. I used all the standard settings as per the instructions with the lowest audio quality (0) for the least amount of data usage of about 60 mb
per hour. There is no latency that I can tell or hear by listening to my own signal. It is very nice to have complete control and have the IC 7100 control head at home.
With no experience at setting up a Lan or port forwarding I was surprised at the easy set up for this old old man Hi Hi.
With the help of the Forum and reading the instructions over and over again it finally sinks in.
