1216H and DCU-2 rotator controller
« on: 2021-02-25, 05:41:41 »
Hi again ... we have been using the 1216H + 1216L to control an old HAM-IV rotator controller.

We just got our hands on a new rotator and a DCU-2 digital controller (bought and took down a tower/antenna from another ham who was moving).

- I understand that the 1216H doesn't need the 1216L when using a DCU-1

- Can we use the same procedures to connect the DCU-2 as I read for the DCU-1?

- Any special instructions (I read this post: https://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?topic=1632.msg6905#msg6905)

Looking forward to responses

The DCU-2 controller is documented here:

https://static.dxengineering.com/global/images/instructions/hgn-dcu-2.pdf.

Per page 8 of the manual, the DCU-2 protocol is the same as for the DCU-1.

So we will order the DCU-1 adapter :-)
