I have set up the USB virtual Com2 port, im finding it has a delay of few seconds after making a vfo/mode change.
Using the PC Serial Com1 port I get no delay when plugged into the local end Com2 on RPC1258.
My set up:
WinXP SP3
RPC1258 f/w ver 2.35, Mar 17 2011 11:06:54
Virtual USB Serial to RPC1258. Com5
Dell Latitude laptop D610 1.4Ghz 1Gig Ram
Cat Program Yaesu PCC for FT-450 (yaesu own cat program)
3G wireless link to remote site, ADSL2 at local end.
Befor I junk my old Dell Laptop is there known problems with the virtual Com2 USB port?

Regards

One known problem is that the RRC might stop working if you have a active connection between the two RRCs while not having opened the virtual Com Port with a program in the PC. Besides from that it sounds strange that it is slow. USB is much faster than old serial ports so it should be faster, not slower, if anything.
Always include type of hard/software and version when asking for support.
