It seems that in the instruction manual, for the Radio RRC it says that a 3.5mm stereo plug on both end of the cable can be used to plug into the TS-480 straight key jack. Is that correct, or will I need to make a cable that is stereo on one end (coming out of the PAD jack on the Radio RRC) and mono on the other end (key input on radio)?

Thanks much!

dave :)

Hi Dave,

Although technically it should be mono on the TS-480 end, I found that leaving it as a stereo
plug works just fine. However, if you intend to add the FSK cable, then you must change that
to a mono plug.

I got CW working, just as Mitch suggested. My latency was OK. So far I've not had to change anything from default. I had my first CW contact on 40m last night. ;)

BTW, thanks again, Mitch!
