IC-7100 firmware update through RRC connection?
« on: 2015-12-06, 21:17:17 »
Hi,

Has anyone ever attempted a IC7100 firmware update through the Remoterig connection?
I have USB connected via CT17 to my Radio RRC.

Possible or thrill seeking? ;-)

As far as I know firmware update to the IC-7100 is only done from the SD-card, not over the CI-V interface.

That's what I proposed to Icom some time ago  :D

For now, update is still performed with a Windows application and a triple keypress on the control head.

SD card would be so much easier..

Strange, I have updated once and I was 100% sure it was with the SD-card. Getting old....
