Micro PC crashing on XP v1.5.5
« on: 2012-07-16, 20:22:03 »
I have RRCMicro crashing on XP sp3 32 bit.

It starts up fine, but after about 20-30 minutes, it crashes.  The current setup is on a local network the the Remote Rig.

The eventviewer shows an event type of clr20rs with a source of .Net 4.0 error.

Event ID is 5000.
FileName dw20.exe

Help!

No this not something that has been reported as far a I know.
What you can do is to turn on debug and run a session until you get that crash and then send the file Documents\RRCMicro\mblog.txt and we can see if that gives something.
The file dw20.exe is not a part of RRC Micro.

Interesting as that file is being reported in the event viewer for the Micro crash.

I do have the debug files.  Where do you want them sent to?  I can recreate this at will.  All I have to is start the Micro, connect to the far end and wait.  It just takes about 30 minutes.

This is a pretty plain system and I use Security Essentials for AV.

The Windows Error Reporting tool, Dw20.exe, collects information automatically whenever an Office program stops responding

You can mail them to me roland@microbit.se

I am not sure I am seeing the same problem, but is sure seems similar.  Seems to stop working more frequently than 20-30 min.  When I am just listening to the radio, the audio stops in a minute or two and I need to disconnect the connection and reconnect to get the audio back.  The program is not crashing but the link seems to go dead. The RTP light goes from green to black.  We have two other users (at different locations) of the Remote Controller who using the standard hardware clients and they have no problems, so the RR Micro software seems like the culprit that is losing the link.  My laptop computer (XP SP3) loading appears to be about 10% and my uplink is 10Mbps so that should no cause a link problem.
