I just tested my new remoterig with my 480 and I have a back ground noise like a motor boat so I was told any sugestions all worked ok other than that

Ron,

I had that on one of my installations and it was one of the red strap wires that was not making
a clean contact. If you put these straps in by hand, then I suggest you redo them, or use an ohm
meter to find the problem.

The method I changed to is to hold the strap just above the end of the insulation using needle nose
pliers. Then carefully push the end of the strap into the hole until it sits. Since I started using that
method, I have never had another problem with the straps in any RRC's that I have installed.

Found the problem I moved the control head into the other end of the house an all ok now must be rf getting into the internet and feeding back into the mike
