ddns for new 1258
« on: 2014-04-25, 14:54:45 »
I have changed 1258 units.  My old unit had been working with ddns.remoterig. just fine, but with the new serial number it does not.  I have been addressing it with the actual numeric address.  I would like to restore the ddns.remoterig service.
Do I need a new host name or can the serial number be updated?  I am looking for the instructions for proper setup.

Ken,

Every RRC has its own unique ID. Just do the following:

- Go to the Dynamic DNS settings tab (radio RRC only)
- Change the check interval to i.e. 10 minutes
- Make sure the drop-down is on RemoteRig's service
- Click on apply changes
- copy/paste the address from the "own host name" field into the control RRC's "SIP contact" field
