Serial settings for Steppir
« on: 2015-05-10, 18:28:19 »
I am using a SteppIr SDA 100 controller.
The setup instructions show a Serial Setup page where the baud rate, parity etc is selected .
My software version (4.16) says "no setttings available for this device" when I select Serial Settings.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a default for the baud rate?
Thanks
Hugh

The baudrate is set fixed to 9600, we may have forgot to update the manual

I am still not able to make the connection.
Is it OK to leave out the serial cable link to the Radio?
On the SteppIr controller is it necessary to set the transceiver control to OFF or to STEPPIR (ie does this matter?)
I am using a Null Modem cable from the unit to the controller 5-5 2-3 3-2
Thanks for your help
Hugh

Hi the transceiver do not need to be connected to the SDA-100

The SDA-100 should be switched on when you connect with the RC-1216H

Let the SDA-100 be on for at least 3 minute before switching it off with the RC-1216H relay. After 3 minutes it will learn that it should be powered on/off by the power supply (SDA-100 manual).
