Success with Yaesu FT-8800R?
« on: 2010-10-22, 14:53:46 »
Neither Google nor this forum's search are revealing any success stories to date on using the RRC with a Yaesu FT-8800R.

I have a couple situations where I'd love to be able to run this a little farther than the several hundred feet that I can separate the body and control head using dry twisted pair wiring.

Thanks for any feedback anyone may have to offer...

Hi

I have answered it before but there is no support for any Yaesu station using detached control panel.

As we tested with FT-857 and it's protocol is not Internet friendly as it does not accept delayed acks. And we have assumed it's the same for all Yaesu.

So there is only support for PC control of Yaesu via the CAT interface

Ok!  Thank you for the response.  My search attempts were inadequate.   :-)
