Hi Pete,

That is strange indeed and hard to say what is causing it.

Perhaps there is a conflict with that particular virtual serial port. Delete COMEXTRA/COM3 in the Windows Device Manager and
then plug in your USB cable again and see if it is assigned a new port number when it reinstalls.

If that doesn't work, you may wish to completely delete the Microbit drivers and reinstall them to see if that solves your problem.

Thanks but that didn't help.  Another weird fact. I have a second RRC Control box and a recently acquired K3/Mini. I just set that up last night and winkey works fine with the same radio and radio RRC box.

I've save the settings for all three boxes as html files and will drop an email to Mike.
