TS-480 TOGETHER WITH PRO SET 5 HEADSET

Anyone out there who knows of this problem:
I have TS-480. I have tried to use Heil headset PRO SET 5 with HC 5 element. I use the included adapter and connect it to the AUX/MIC on control RRC and the other end into the external sp. on TS-480 display. When i push the PTT button on the head set or if i use a foot paddle, it seems to transmit a strong signal. The S-meter goes to top and it's not possible to send out a normal SSB.
Anyone who have any ideas here?
When i use the headset direct connected to the radio at the radio QTH, it's now problem. So nothing is wrong with the head set.

I use a heil pro set my self and a adapter from Heil I think, As far as I remeber the RJ45 is red on it, I put it direct inte to the RRC MIC/AUX connector and it's no problem. It cant be much more that the adapter cable which is the problem. I assume you have removed JMP1 to avoid DC to be feed to the MIC element.

Hi.

I use a Proset Plus. You have to take care with the MIC GAIN and with the PROC set.
I think that your MIC gain is to high, please check it!

I got the same problem before.
I use the Red Heil Sound conector (Kenwood).
