K3/0 -> K3/100 Known bugs?

Hi all,

I have now set up my K3/0 and K3/100 with the Remoterig K3 Twin units. Everything seems to work great. Does anyone know about bugs in the system? I'm thinking of bugs in the Elecraft FW...

Mitch, you are a power user... Have you noticed any bugs?

Hi Adde,

There was never a problem on the RemoteRig side, but were some bugs in the K3 firmware that
Wayne was to look at when he has time (he is busy with KX3 firmware). I think he fixed some of
them in the newest firmware, but I haven't had a chance to try it out. My test remote K3 was not
accessible and I haven't had much time. I have been using a full K3 on both ends and not the K3/0.

When I move to a new QTH in October, I will be sharing a K3 twin in both directions with an OM
in W7. I may buy a K3/0 and another RRC set to make it easier for us. I expect my other K3 remote
location in northern Germany to come back online soon as well.

These are known K3 bugs

There is a few known minor bugs but the overall function is extremly good.

1. The speaker is not muted in the control radio when in terminal mode.
2. The power control knob is not reliable, sometimes you can not come over 12W, sometimes you have to turn 100 times to get higher values.
3. The VFO lock function is not working.
4. The TX LED sometimes stays on after release of PTT.
5. Sometimes the RF gain is reduced "automatically"
