suddenly cannot hear most stations and CW not working properly

Running yaesu twin setup. SSB and CW working well, but suddenly developed new problems:
1) Cannot get much audio on receive – only get a few strong stations, but mostly the bands sounds dead.
2) when I try CW mode with my keyer:
-with the dot side I get a string of alternating dots and dashes(dot-dash-dot-dash-dot-dash… etc…..)
-with the dash side I get nothing. It does not even put the rig into transmit mode.
All settings thee same. I restarted both RRC's. Internet has a good fast connection.
Does anyone have any ideas ?

I think I have corrected the receive problem, but I don't know what to do about the CW problem.

any thoughts anyone ?

If you have activated keyer in the Control-RRC and set out 2 to keyer in the Radio-RRC, I do not think the CW problem is caused by any settings in the RRC, more likely in the radio itself.
