No transmit audio on IC706MKIIG
« on: 2015-03-08, 19:37:19 »
I have no transmit audio using my remote system ... receive audio is working fine and all other functions of the radio work when connected.  I have connected  both seperation cables with a RJ45 extender and the transmit audio works well so it seems there is something with my parameters in the RCC radio unit or possible my router settings?? I am using 1300 for sip, 1301 for audio and 1302 for cmd.
ANY HELP will be greatly appreciated --- thanks in advance...

Hi

I guess i'ts the red strap for the mic audio which is broken, check them with an ohm meter.

Mike:  Thank you very much for your suggestion and your time.  I have two of the remote rig systems of my own working perfectly and have helped others program their systems but this one has me baffled. We had the unit up and running in no time only to find that everything works perfecthly except no transmit audio. We connected to the remote from two different locations with different control heads with the same results.  We check all the red wire connections with an ohm meter and all checked out ok. If you have any other suggestions it would be appreciated! Again, thanks for your time!

then it's probably the screen for the mic signal which is broken in the cable from the Radio-RRC to the Radio. If you connect the cables direct together with a RJ45 extender, the ground signal goes other ways even if it's broken. But when connecting it to the RRC one end of the mic transformer will not be connected if it's broken.
