AS-1289 switch function
« on: 2017-06-05, 05:42:39 »
I am considering an AS-1289 to switch a single transceiver between two antennas via an IP network.  I cannot find operator instructions for the Microbit web interface software.  It appears that whatever switches are set to the ON position connect to the transceiver.  So, I have 2 questions:

1) Does it allow multiple switches to be ON at the same time, connecting more than one antenna simultaneously?

2) When a antenna selector switch is in the OFF position, is that antenna grounded at the connector, or, does the connector remain open?

Thanks,
Bill - K5YRT

Hi Bill,

I think all your questions are answered here. From what I can see, it is a one of five selector and the unused outputs are grounded.

Scroll down on that page to find the link to the user manual

Thanks, Lou.  Much appreciated.  I had already downloaded the manual, but, overlooked the footnote on page 43 that specifically says they are grounded.

I do not plan to use an RRC.  I'll just click on the antenna I want to use with the web interface.
