ICOM IC-7100 Daughter Board 1258M
« on: 2019-06-02, 03:00:47 »
I have ordered the daughter board that the manual said that I needed for my IC-7100.  As I wait for it, I have connected the radio using the jumpers as outline in the manual.  And all works!  So, the question is do I really need it or not?  Is the operation not dependable?  My IC-7100 is 02009162 (after the change).  My RCC-1258MKII control unit (not "S") is serial number 2359 and I am running version 2.95 firmware.

What's the story?

If it works without the 1258M board you don't need it. I got the serial number from ICOM so it should be correct, but maybe the panel is older if it's a used set you have
