FT-900? Anyone using this older rig with an RR?
« on: 2011-04-13, 21:21:40 »
I just picked one up for a back-up radio, but thought it might be nice to remote it at my weekend/summer place.  The FT-900 does have a removable front panel with a separation kit.
Thanks, 73, Tad, WF4W

This was read 127 times that I can see by the date I write this.

I too have an FT-900 and really like my rig. It's an 840AT with a digital face. :)

I'd love to work this radio faceplate in other parts of the house though, I understand that the features that are only on the base of the radio (mic gain, etc) won't be remoted.

Anyone?

The radio does not even use a TTL interface, so no, it cannot be used. Look at YSK-900 interface option and you'll understand.
