Lost connection with my Kenwood V81 V/U
« on: 2021-12-29, 09:58:52 »
Hello and Happy seasons to everybody..

Have a problem with my remote which works several years without problems.

Last days although the status is showing "connected" and no erros in status page, the display does not turn on and no sound or control of the tranceiver.

I attach a photo of webpage status of both parts and a photo of Tranceiver.

Any help would be appreciated

At the status page in the control-RRC you can see that data is not comming in, cmd is counting down from 45

maybe the radio has no power or there is some problem with the cables.

the cmd port can also be blocked in some router.

try to restart both RRCs and both routers before doing anything else

Hello Mice ,

I have tried many times to restart with success both units.

This old setup that is working many years.

Which unit should I check ? Conrol unit or remote?

Which cables to check you mean?

Check the cables from front to Control-RRC  and from Radio-RRC to Radio, The RJ12 connector on the picture does not look to be in so good condition
