Full duplex audio
« on: 2009-10-14, 15:49:42 »
I saw where the latest firmware update cuts of the receive audio during transmission.

Is there a way to select to have the receive audio stay on during transmissions.

It would be needed for full duplex Satellite work.

Thanks,

Hi John

The audio to the speaker is muted during TX to avoid howling ( or what the english word is).
But if its a need for full duplex we can make it programmable in a future software release, it is the first time I have heard that it's needed.

Hi Mike -

We will look forward as well to the ability to do full duplex. We were able to get a full-duplex mode to work in program mode 0, but then the I/O bits didn't work anymore. Our application needs full duplex audio and the ability to get at least 1 control bit to go from radio to control end. It would be kind of the combination of the I/O signalling available in Mode 4 added to the full-duplex capability of mode 0.

What is the schedule for the software update?
