FTDX10 setup
« on: 2023-10-20, 08:12:07 »
Hello,
I used the remoterig with the TS590s and everything was great. Now I try to use FTDX10 but it doesn't work. The control program is Win4Yaesu.
Can someone help me to solve the problem? Thank you in advance.

I'll come back with details. I have a PC next to FTDX10 that I can control locally with Win4Yaesu and TeamViewer. I connected with RRC1258 and everything is ok, I have sound and the PTT works. The problem is that RRC control does not work with Win4. I tested both COM2 and USB with the appropriate settings.

It seems that this arrangement will not work. The author of the Win4Yaesu program, VA2FSQ, states:
"Important Note: Both the FTDX101D/MP and FTDX10 require the use of the USB port and NOT the RS232. Yaesu has removed certain functionality from the RS232 port.”
It is not clear to me now if the Yaesu Twin version will work, I will test in the following days.

I tested Yaesu Twin with FTDX10, and the result is negative, the two devices do not communicate.
To be sure that I didn't make a mistake in the settings, I ask those who managed to make the configuration to make the settings public, regardless of the Yaesu transceivers used.
In the simple version, I used RRC by calling a PC running Win4Yaesu (at the radio end) and a Full HD video camera. There is no latency, the audio is very good, and the PTT is ok. It's not very comfortable, but that's all we can do for now.
I apologize for my English, I hope to make myself understood.
