WSJTX SuperFox and RCC
« on: 2024-07-22, 17:19:29 »
Since years WSJTX runs fine with my IC7100 via RCC 1258
The new version with SuperFox has problems to take over the frequency of the rig into the computer ; message : Hamlib Error
The only way to solve the the problem is to use e.g. FlRig for rigcontrol instead of the direct IC7100 configuration
any other ideas ?

Not an asnwer but a question. Can you help me with my remote setup? I replaced a TS-480SAT remote (which worked fine) with the IC-7100, and I am struggling.

However, I have NOT been able to get WSJT to work. Even HRD or Icom's RS-BA1 struggles.

Can you share how you got your remote IC-7100 to work with WSJT.

My setup:

This works:
IC7100 control head --> RR1258 --> Router+MODEM --> Internet --> MODEM+router --> RR1258 --> Icom CT-17 --> IC7100 radio
I also have Morse Code and that works fine.

This doesn't work
WSJT on computer --> USB (via COM 7, 9600 8n1) --> RR1258 --> rouer+MODEM --> Internet --> MODEM+router --> RR1258 --> Icom CT-17 --> IC7100 radio.

I plan to setup Virtiual Audio Connection (VAC v4.70). I do have SignalLink but I was told (?) that the VAC would feed the audio to/from the RR1258 via the USB connection

This also fails ... (can't connect,  or very slow, or connects with errors, no S-meter, etc.)
HRD (licensed and current) on computer --> COM 7 (9600 8n1)--> RR1258 USB --> router+MODEM --> Internet --> MODEM+router --> RR1258 --> Icom CT-17 --> IC7100 radio

Icom RS-BA1 (licensed and current) on computer --> USB (COM 7, 9600 8n1) --> RR1258 USB --> router+MODEM --> Internet --> MODEM+router --> RR1258 --> Icom CT-17 --> IC7100 radio

This never worked (to remotely program the radio)
RT-Systems software on computer -->  COM 7 (9600 8n1) --> RR1258 USB --> router+MODEM --: Internet --> MODEM+router --> RR1258 --> Icom CT-17 --> IC7100 radio. I tried "slow"and "fast"but the radio always fails and I need to load what I had saved on the SD-card

I am looking for any help from those who have sunnessfully remoted their IC-7100 for voice and data using a pair of RR1258 mk-II
