RRCMicro Client password problem
« on: 2011-08-08, 17:02:03 »
Just got my RRCMicro today...

My RRC-1258MKII is 2.41
My RRC-Client program is 1.3.1

When I try use RRC-Client connect to my remote station, it return the message "Password not accepted", I am sure the SIP IP address, port, password is correct.

Anybody got this problem???

Look at your password carefully as the Micro password does not allow as many characters as the 1258 does.  I had this problem and didn't realize the last letter of the password wasn't actually being entered into the Micro password field when I typed it and ended up having to shorten my password by 1 character in the 1258 to accommodate the Micro password length.

Be sure that you have the same password at both places (case sensitive)

Roland, thanks for your kindly information...

Yes, I did the same just like you...

The sip password is OK, sip port is OK, sip ip address is OK...

I can connect to my RRC-RADIO witch my RRC-Control with the same password, port, ip... but fail of RRC-Micro...  :'(

Well that's confusing. Have not stumbled on this problem before.

Could you please
1. Enable Debug and SIP in Settings.
2. The program will restart.
3. Try to connect.
4. After failed. Quit program
5. A text file mblog.txt will be save in your Documents Folder
6. Send me that file

I also have the same problem with RRCMirco I bought last week.
There is no problem in the connection between RRC-Radio and RRC-Control with same SIP password.
I'm glad to know how to resolve

Tested 1.5.5 today with passwords and could not see any problems.
Please do the same as BA7NQ did.

Hi Mike;

Recently I bought a RRCmicro client and have the same trouble regarding
password issue; "passwoed not accepted".

I do not use any SIP password, and my RRC1258mk2 pair has been working very fine
for 2yeas.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

We apparently have some problem with the password and non-western OS and are looking into this.

Hiro and others.
This has been there for a long time now I must admit. Sorry for that.

To get somewhere with this we will setup a RRC box to which you guys can connect with a password.
We will then be able to investigate what happens in more detail.

This RRC box will be setup here at Microbit tomorrow or early next week.
I will tell the address and such here when its available.

We now have a RRC box for testing
Password = "123456" - without the " marks

Attached images:
1) The RRC-Micro Setup
2) Enable Debug
3) Where to find RRCMicro.html

a) Connect using the attached setup and debug enabled
b) Then disconnect and exit RRC-Micro.
c) Send the file RRCMicro.html to us along with your notes of what happened
and your ip (needed to find your call in our logs).
