So can I do all (or most of my setup) without getting the Webswitch ( at least to start with)?

Thanks so much for your help.

Just courious....

Are there any Android applications I can use with/without the Client side RRC to control my TS-2000?

Can the Webswitch be controlled by HRD's rotor controller at the remote (Client ?) side.
Can two HRD rotors be controlled this way (Each on a seperate com port).

My basic setup would be:
HRD to control the TS-2000 (CAT or other connection as might be recomended by RemoteRig)
RC-2000 would be a nice additional touch to use at the same time HRD is controlling the rig (I still like dials )
One Rotor control (for HF antenna) Via HRD's Rotor control software.
Second AZ/EL rotor for Satillate work would be a great plus (also controlled by a second HRD Rotor control application).

Should I be looking at a set of basic remote rigs or the combination of PC-controller and a RRC?
I would like to forgo the additional cost of the Webswitch if possible.

Are the two RRC's switchable in case I want to change the location of my transceiver or will I need to physically swap the two RRC's ?

We are buying a house to remodel and will be spending the next year or so down there on and off.
Running my TS-2000 station remotely would be nice while we work on the remodel.

Which version of the RRC supports dual receive for my TS-2000?

I have a TS-2000 and two rotors.
One for HF AZ control and the second for Satillite AZ/EL control.

Will one of your boxes support both rotor controllers (both RS-232) and the CAT control RS-232 (or special cable) fot the Kenwood TS-2000?

On the control side I can either use HRD 6.0 and/or I also have the RS-2000 remote head.

Thanks,

Will I be able to power my TS-2000 on & off using your interface.

It is done by using software commands.

I saw where the latest firmware update cuts of the receive audio during transmission.

Is there a way to select to have the receive audio stay on during transmissions.

It would be needed for full duplex Satellite work.

What is the baud rate range of the spare RS-232 port?

Full or half duplex?

A-sync or synchrous?

Standard 8 bit word or can I use a non-standard bit length (8, 9, 10, 11, 12 bits / word)?

Are there any other data ports available in the box(s) for us to use for other connections (of any type)?

Thanks,

General discussion forum / Just what do I get ?
« on: 2009-10-14, 04:44:04 »
I am about to order a kit but I would like to make sure I understand just what I will receive and what it will do.

I will be remoting a Kenwood TS-2000 using the Kenwood RC-2000 remote head.
I believe I will receive two control units (Some assembly required).
I will need to build the cables from the control head to the new controllers.
Same for the TS-2000 side.

So what will the TS-2000 configured units do?

Control the TS-2000 using my RC-2000 remotly.
Pass audio both ways over the Internet.
     Allow true CW opperations.
Control a rotor remotely (via RS-232 port).

Is the RS-232 connectors availiable for me to use for my custom RS-232 device or does it need to be a rotor controller?
Is your Power supply wired for 220 VAC or 110 VAC (USA)?

Thanks,
John Long
