Mitch,
thanks for replying to me.
I will have a look to the instructions tonight, anyway, this is going to be a temporary setup. I'll use it to evaluate the network reliability and stability remoting a FT-817. In the mean time I will look for a head detachable radio for the final setup, possibly a FT-857.

Thanks,
Gab

Hi all,
I was wondering which software is required to run this configuration:
http://www.remoterig.com/picturepaster/95574a49dc41492c9fa136b3bef0fb11.jpg

Basically, it's the remoterig configuration using remote and control box but with no radio head on the control side.
Is there any free software available to control the remoterig control box?

Thanks,
Gab

Hi all,
according to this post:
http://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?topic=1809.msg7770#msg7770

all the remoterig boxes have the same hardware regardless of the vendor specific name (Elecraft twin or Yaesu twin).
Does this mean that if I buy a standard version today I'll be able to use the same exact boxes to remote a K3 just buying the right cables and changing the settings?

Thanks,
Gab

Thanks for the reply Mitch.
That is exactly what I was looking for. At the moment I'm planning to have 1 remote and 2 controls only so it's not going to be too difficult to organize a shedule time for users, the google doc log can do the job.
Now I have another question. From the website I see that it's only possible to buy remote+control and there's no a "control only" option. Am I correct?
And, are there any hardware/firmware differences between a remote box and a control box? Are they exchangeable?

Thanks,
Gab

Hi all,
I've just started reading about the remoterig system and I haven't been able to find anything about a possible multi controls configuration.
I try to clarify:
Say we have a remote station, a K3 for example, connected to the remoterig box and, on the other side, we have 3 users all with K3/0 and remoterig box.
Can all of them connect to the remote station (not at the same time, of course) or there must be a 1 to 1 relation beetween the remoterig boxes?

Thanks,
Gab
