General discussion forum / Ethernet Wifi
« on: 2024-11-19, 01:17:21 »
Hi Guys,

I use to use the remoterig on a ic-7100 via wifi at the control end and everything worked perfectly well.

I purchased a ft-8900 and set it up using remoterig and on ethernet it works perfectly well, But when i use it on Wifi i keep getting dropouts and choppy audio.

I set the audio codec to zero reduce bandwidth but still get same issue.

Wifi is running from a router remotely with a 67mb connection from the control end and a 1GB connection at the Body end.

Wifi is still a issue if both units are running from the same router. Ethernet is perfectly fine.

I was wondering if anyone else have this problem, or might give me a solution for a fix.

Hi All!

It would be great if you would be able to use Dstar 2/70cm to connect to repeaters/reflectors with this App and the Icom ic-7100, I would definately purchase it!

Keep up the good work guys!

General discussion forum / Re: IC-7100 locks up on HF
« on: 2014-05-03, 01:03:44 »
Hiya Stuart,

I had the same problem, in the end I totally rewired everything and put all my ground earths down one side, so there was no over lapping and fitted rf chokes to everything. That solved my problem!

My station worked fine on 2/70 until I went on HF then I had problems of locking up above 50 watts until I did the above.

Neil

Anyone new reading the forums and thinking of purchasing Remoterig RRC-1258MkII go and buy one, they are absolutely brilliant!

Even the support I have received from forum members and especially Tech Support have been amazing.

Hope to hear from you remotely on the bands.

Hiya Guys,

A newbie question. I was just wondering is there a way to remotely control a tarheel screwdriver antenna with RRC-1258MkIIs? I am just in the process of setting up my ic-7100.

Thanks
Neil
