General discussion forum / Re: 857 will not connect

I am supposed to have a fixed IP but I am suspecting the service provider never completed that request. I did go to remoterig ddns and search for my IP address and tried pinging that. The IP that my service provider told me and the remoterig where the same. Going to try again today to get things going. I guess another hour or two with Eastlink.

Thanks
Mike

Hello again, just had a question hopefully someone can help me with. I had my remote rig working properly at home with my cell phone data and home network. All connected great, took the setup on a trip with me and now will not connect. Everything looks the same to me. Anyone have a suggestion. I cannot even ping home IP address for some reason. My internet provider says they can ping it????

Thanks for any suggestions!

Took the rig over to a fellow ham and computer guru, Rusty. He had everything up and running in an hour. I am going over today and he is going to give me the rundown on setting the rig up. Thanks for your help. I will post latter to let you know where I went wrong. By the way my friend VE3WVA really loved the units.

Thanks
Mike

I cannot get the remoterig to connect with the radio. I have followed the manual as well as I can but still no success in connection. Have forwarded all ports as described.

Thanks

Hello, New to this forum and my name is mike. I have been trying to setup my new remoterig v7 to my yeasu 857 with no success. I have been through the setup instructions several times with no luck. Must be missing something. I would appreciate any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong. thank you, I am looking forward to using this product.
