I purchased a Netgear WNR2000 vs 2 which forwarded my ports easily and also allows SIP ALG to be disabled.  It seems to me that I had to leave mine on or things didn't work right.  Setup is explained fairly well in their documentation.

Thanks. That *IS* helpful. I'll check out the Netgear option.

I've been trying to set up my remoterig with a Linksys WRT54G2 (v.1.0) wireless router to work with my IC-706MkIIG, and I'm really stymied. (Among other things, the router does not allow disabling SIP ALG, and none of the firmware changes, including dd-wrt, look like they'll help.) Part of the problem is that my knowledge of networking is about zero, so I've enlisted some smarter friends to help, but even still, it's not looking good.

So, I may just have to go to a different router. I guess I'd like to get a wireless router that's about as close to plug-and-play as possible. Anyone have a suggestion for one that was relatively easy to set up?

Thanks in advance,
