Configuration, RRC 1258 / Re: ts 480 not transmitting

I have had same issue 2 weeks ago.  The reason was simple but not very obvious. In the Radio end, one setting was changed. Codec out gain was 0, should be 255. This has happened once before after few weeks shutdown.

hello

continuing with my station problems, today I noriced that the remoterig box at the remote side is not working.

I bring it at home to test it, connected to power and the red and yellow leds on the RJ45 AUX/MIC are blinking

I connected it to Microbit setup manager and I read a text in red "look ForHids()"

I do GET FROM DEVICE and nothing happen

Any idea what´s the problem and how to solve it?

thanks in advance!!

Hi

Dyndns does not help against CGNAT https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier-grade_NAT

Mike

I remember that sometime ago when my internet link was broken, I use a Movistar router, it worked, I just needed to setup a dydns to have it working

I will ask a friend to set it up for me.

thanks!

The only option is to setup a VPN from radio site av to control site. As SL is unlimited data it's possible, You can use a SMS switch to active the link remotely also

My remote is working fine using the RR1258 but when I try to use RT Systems to remotely program the radio, it fails.

The COM ports are configured properly and I am using COM 7 (9600 8n1). I can use either Icom's RS-BA1 or the current HRD software to manage and operate the radio.

RT-Systems (programming)
- I was able to download the configuration and frequencies from the radio using RT-Systems, which says that link is working!

- However, when I try to upload the frequencies and configurateion using RT-Systems, it fails!

Using RT-Systems, I tried to upload using the software's "normal" and "fast". (This is ths "Adjust Sending Speed: Normal or Fast")

- In "fast" the radio does not respond.
- In "normal" it responds then fails to clone the radio.
- When it fails, the radio is initialized and lost everythng. I then need to load the saved frequencies and configuration from the radio's SD-Card (good that I backed it all up to the SD Card before trying to upload).

So I am looking for suggestions from anyone who has managed to remotely program their IC-7100 using RT Systems software.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / Re: TS-590S Twin Baud rate

You can use whatever baudrate you want but you have to set the CAT baudrate in the Radios and the Remoterig to the same baudrate. Never heard that 19200 is to slow I think the problem is high latency internet connection not the baudrate

Hi

Starlink standard plans cannot be used at the Radio end as they use CGNAT, Only business plans with fixed IP can be used, but they are expensive

Hello

after many years using RRC1258-MkII on the same network (with an internet link from my house to the remote site), now I will move to Starlink on the remote site.

My network use 192.168.0.x addresses, and my remoterig boxes use 192.168.0.169 and 192.168.0.170

My new network on the remote site, with Starlink and a router, use 192.168.10.x

So my question is how I need to setup the remoterig and routers to have remoterig working? With 192.168.0.x on the home and 192.168.10.x on the remote side

thanks in advance
