Feature Requests / Auto connect (adjustable time)
« Last post by sm6vtz on 2024-06-11, 09:23:50 »
Hi!

My remote site is offgrid so I need to cut the power to save the battery pack (using a 3G switch).
The IC-E2820's display turns to black after 60s as the internet connection is lost and I can't use it anymore (would be nice to not press the power button as I'm often on the run).
Is it possible to implement an adjustable time for example for 2 hours or even several days?

I also using 2xTS-590SG and if there's a power drop for several mins (or hours), it reconnects when the power returns.

Cheers!

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can purchase the 1332-CI-V cable for an Icom 7100?  Limbered does not have any in stock.  This is for a friend living in a restricted community.

Thanks for any leads.

Configuration, Webswitch 1216H / Local inputs floating?
« Last post by jappish84 on 2024-06-06, 18:51:31 »
I have had this issue before, but I think I finally found the real issue with my Webswitch 1216H.

The issue presents itself by toggling my local relays ON at seemingly random intervals. The issue affects relay 1 the most, but also affects relay 2 (less often)
I have Input 1 control relay 1 using the Auto Control Program.
I have input 2 control relay 2 using the ACP.
Disabling the ACP resolves the issue, but the obviously I can't control my relays with my switches.

For the purpose of troubleshooting, I disconnected the wiring connected to IN1, 0V and IN2. I then refreshed the inputs-page on the webserver and I can see that inputs are toggling between HIGH and LOW very frequently, almost on every refresh.

Measuring with a digital multimeter between IN1 and 0V I get 15,2VDC
Measuring with a digital multimeter between IN2 and 0V I get 15,4VDC

I can't see any fluctuation in the voltage while measuring, voltage seems stable, but I understand the my DMM wouldn't pick up short voltage drops.

I conducted the tests again with wiring to the switches in place this time, and I can see that toggling the switches indeed pulls the inputs from 15V to 0V (and back to 15V again since my switches pulse the inputs"

What voltage is expected on the inputs?
Could this be a software glitch? See my posts from a few years back: https://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=2852

Moin Mike, what I was trying to say: So far I had used an adapter that has a Sub-D socket at one end of the cable (connected to the CAT interface of the TS480), and a USB plug at the other end that went into the PC.

If I now use the RRC-1258MkII and want to continue using this CAT-USB adapter, I need a remote cable with 2x 9-pin female (that's how the manual describes it and that's what it looks like) from the TS480 to the remote RRC. But here on the Control RRC-1258 a gender changer is needed because COM2 is female, my USB cable is 9pin female.

Right?

Hello Michael,
install the Microbit Remoterig setup manager on your PC and use the supplied USB cable at the Remoterig control unit. At the radio unit you need to connect a straight RS-232 9 pin f - f cable between the COM 2 port at the radio unit and the COM port on the TS-480. My setup works perfectly.

Thanks for your answer Mike !

I can't rule out that it's the PC.
What comes to my mind is, that i use 2 soundcard interfaces, local/remote.
maybe my miniPC can't handle it ?

Hi

Are you sure it's not related to the PC ?. I have to restart WSJT-X to get audio out every time my screensaver has been activated. PTT works but no audio. I read somewhere it's related nvidia graphic card driver .

Thanks for reading !
The error has been on for a few days.
Sometimes only twice a day, sometimes every half hour.
Transmit signal is still there but without audio.
I have to restart the Radio and then it works again.
I have restarted the RRCs and router, application update was done but the error is still there.

I am using "audio quality" 7 maybe there is a better solution for FT8 ?

Please help

OK, found the issue after the reset. For some reason I was still able to ping the old IP which means some other device grabbed it.

As usual, in 99% of the cases the problem sits in front of the keyboard. When I replaced my router and all WiFi APs, i reserved a block of
IPs in the DHCP server. The RemoteRig IP was outside of that block.

Tripple facepalm. Thanks for your swift support and help however.
