webswitch 1216H can not create virtual port
« on: 2015-12-04, 21:21:00 »
I can not create a virtual port with setup manager v1.28.

Have set the serial settings in the Webswitch to:
Remote serial (RFC2217/Raw): Server
Remote serial mode: Normal
Remote serial timeout(secs): 3600
Remote serial TCP port: 11182
Remote serial host/IP: empty
Remote serial DSR: No
Remote serial CTS: No

In the serial port setting of the setup program is use:
Serial port: COM2 (in the drop down menu i have the choose between COM1, COM2, COM3
IP Address/Host Name: 192.168.178.52
TCP port: 11182

After create I get the message Serial port created/updated! Port status is then Not installed

mblog.txt shows:

Have you tried to change to another Serial port in the dropdown and then back to the one you created? It seems there is a bug in the Setup Manager which does not update the Port status textbox after the port has been created.
Always include type of hard/software and version when asking for support.
