Control RRC 'SP' output ???
« on: 2012-08-01, 05:50:20 »
I'm using a TS-480. I find that the speaker on the back of the TS-480 control head is too cheesy.

QUESTION 1: I'd like to hook and external speaker to the 'S' jack on the Control RRC. What is the best external speaker that I can use, powered or not?

QUESTION 2: Audio still comes through the TS-480 control head's speaker. What is the best way to mute that audio, without muting the audio from the 'SP' jack?

Thanks much!

dave :)

Dave,

Use any amplified speakers you want for the SP jack on the RRC. There is no RF, so using cheap
computer speakers is not an issue.

As far as I know, there is no way to turn the internal speaker off without putting a plug in the jack
to do so. Whatever you have in the junk box should do the trick.

Sweet! I have an un-used plug. Appreciate it, Mitch!
