TS-480 and Link-Comm DSP404
« on: 2010-06-26, 17:18:58 »
Hello All:

The TS-480 has been installed on a shelf, along with the Remote Rig and is ready to be installed on the mountain. Our plan is for install on July 3, 2010.

I have also mounted a DSP squelch from Naval Electronics that connects from the front 6 pin din port and the radio 232 port to a port on the RLC-DSP404 controller. This equipment will allow TT access to the HF remote from a repeater system. The "Naval" unit adjusts, to get rid of the white noise and pass audio into the repeater system.

All is working well on the bench.

The Remote Rig seems to be working perfect.

I will provide updates as I have them.

Hello All:

Install was yesterday and it went very well.

The Remote Rig and the DSP404 are both working. I will need to make a few audio adjustments for the repeater interface, but the Remote Rig interface was no problem.

We had to mount the "non-centered dipole" on the tower and it comes too close to a guide wire, so we are looking for a different type of antenna. Due to restrictions at the commercial site, it would be best to install a SINGLE leg Slopper..

Any suggestions???

Thanks

Tim
