CONNECTION FAIL PROBLEM WITH KENWOOD TM-V71
« on: 2014-07-11, 07:12:59 »
Hello,
I have a problem the last two days with my remote rig Kenwood TM-V71
When I turn on the radio it turns on and I have control of it for 5-7 seconds.
After that all controls  freeze but display keeps on  (light, display and also sound),but no further control is possible.
In two minutes I have an audio alarm that connection failed and then display- Radio shuts down.
In status menu if I check locally I can see a SIP error instead of connected or some times "connection failed".
In the beginning it shows "connected"  but after a while when freezes shows "sip error"
I tried to restart router and change lan ports but nothing.
Every time I turn ON it has always same result

Any idea ?

If you  get SIP-error then you have some trouble with your Internet connections or routers, nothing that the RRCs can do about it

Hi Mike,
I have checked and restarted both routers but the issue still is there.
When I turn On the rig it works perfect for 5 seconds and then freezes.
No control is possible, the display is ON and voice is still working (transferring)
In a few seconds have the sound of disconnection and the rig shuts down.

Here is the status before the rig freeze:

Control panel   ON
Radio   ON
Connection status   OK
SIP status   Connected/transfering
Last SIP error   None

Output 2   Low
DNS status   OK, lxfeudnz.ddns.remoterig.com = 79.131.28.207
Active profile:   Default
PTT status:   OFF

and here is after the rig freezes:

Control panel   ON
Radio   OFF
Connection status   Disconnected
SIP status   Error
Last SIP error   SIP Error
RTP/UDP audio status   Disconnected
UDP cmd status   Disconnected
SIP command timeout   0
Rx Jitter buffer size   4
Rx Jitter delay   3
Dual Rx   0
SIP Out port   5062
SIP In port   5062
Audio Out port   11000
Audio In port   11000
Command Out port   12200
Command In port   12200
External SIP In port   5062
External Audio In port   11000
External Cmd In port   12200
Other party   79.131.28.207
Input 0   High
Input 1   High
Input 2   High
Output 0   High
Output 1   Low
Output 2   Low
DNS status   OK, lxfeudnz.ddns.remoterig.com = 79.131.28.207
Active profile:   Default
PTT status:   OFF

It seems that both routers run ok as the internet is working ok on both of them.

Can you please advise what else to check as this issue getting me crazy and really don't know what to do
