Yaesu Twin setup with standard RRCs
« on: 2021-12-27, 23:07:51 »
Is it possible to make a Yaesu Twin configuration with a pair of standard RRCs?

I would like to help a friend who has a pair of RRC with a Kenwood TS-480 and he wants to move to a Twin system with a pair of FT-2000.

Does he have to change his RRcs?

I need some help for this twin configuration with a pair of Yaesu FT-2000. I'm trying to help a friend remotely and looks that everything is OK, but he told me that when TX he doesn't have any indication on the control side that the remote side is in TX.

Is this normal with this configuration?

Any user here with a pair of FT-2000 in twin configuration? A video could be helpfull

Thanks

If it,s setup correct you can see PWR out, SWR etc on the meters of the controlling radio

Thanks Mike:

RRC Setup must be correct, RX audio is OK, but my friend tells me, when he push PTT, he doesn't have any indication in control side about the remote side is transmitting (remote side is efectivilly transmitting). He is making the tests with both RRC in the same router (Local Network).

He also says that s-meter movements (in control side) are smaller than in the remote FT-2000.

Is it like this?

There are several problems:

  • When he push PTT, he doesn't have any indication on the control side s-meter
  • In RX s-meter level in control side, is lower than in the remote side
  • When he moves the dial, both frequencies move, but after several seconds, conection is lost (Red LED in Control RRC lights)

Any help will be appreciated
