Antenna Switch Information Needed
« on: 2012-06-20, 20:51:53 »
At my remote site I need a solution to be able to remotely select one of three antenna's. I am assuming that I would need the Webswitch but beyond that I don't know where to go. For instance, I didn't know if I could use something like the Ameritron RCS-4 in a modified way to allow it to work ... I don't need the switch to be outside, I can have it right at the control spot where the Webswitch will be located. Can someone please point me to a product that will allow me to choose an antenna from a web interface?

Hi
Amertron RCS-4 will do the job 100% sure
You have 5 independent relays in the webswitch
these can switch the different bands (antennas) automatic
when connected via interface to a radio.
But there is more possible,
even combining more then one relay
at the same time is possible

I'm using an Ameritron RCS-10 modified with three added diodes  and using three relay points (BCD coded ) on the WEB-switch to control 8 antennas. Works perfect.

Hi,
I'm using an ameritron RCS-4 and I'd like to switch antenna by remote by using webswitch relays.
Do you foresee any problem by leaving the relay ON (=closed) for a long period (days)??

thanks, 73
