Does the router on the control end need to to be configured with the RRC in a DMZ also?

No, only the radio side needs to have the ports forwarded or be placed in the DMZ.

But if you have an
outgoing
firewall at your control-site (like me), you should open the ports 12000 UDP (cmd), 11000 UDP (audio) and 5060 TCP/UDP (sip).

Thanks to both of you for the help - think I have everything configured and everything seems to work well, just have not taken it to the control rig on the trip yet

If you need a copy of my networking setup checklist, drop me a mail directly at
dj0qn (at) darc.de. It may prevent problems by using my checklist.
