RRC Wificard > medium wave noise
« on: 2012-08-04, 14:48:40 »
Hi,

I'm using the Wifi card for several weeks now and it is a great solution.
My link is around -76dBm without any degradation in data compared to ethernet.

A small side effect I noticed is a significant increase in noise in the upper region of the Medium Wave.

Does the Wifi card contain a switched DC-DC converter that needs to be tamed?
Any other ideas?

Keep up the good work.

No there is no switched DC/DC> converter on the WiFi board, the noise must come from the WiFi chip. If it is radiated by the WiFi antenna, maybe you can put some HP filter on the antenna output.

Good suggestion,

I'll give that a try, and post the results.

Tnx!
