Can't connect to MIFI (Verizon)
« on: 2012-09-28, 15:49:06 »
GM All,
Have been on the road 5 weeks with 100 % usage of the remote rig system. Now, there seems to be no connection to the control head of a Kenwood 480 and the client remote rig box. I get 11 or 12 beeps when trying to power up the radio remotely. We had our computer friend go to the remote site in North Florida and everything tested ok. We have solid Verizon signals on MIFI here in Maine.
We also use the MIFI for other computer applications and they work ok. I'm thinking we have a glitch in the client remote rig box. We have checked all the cables and they are ok. Actually, we switched them out as we carry dupes of everything. Would anyone have an idea where to go or what to do to get back on the air?  Thanx de Paul, KJ4G@arrl.org or in USA, 850-591-0442.

Blown fuse? Happened to a friend with a TS-480.
